ABC’s Raddatz Grills Jindal: How Can You Blame Oregon Shooter’s Father?

On Sunday’s “This Week” on ABC, Martha Raddatz grilled GOP presidential candidate Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA) over his comments faulting the Oregon shooter’s dad for the shooting because he did a poor job raising his son the right way.

Jindal called the father a “complete failure” and said he “should be embarrassed to even show his face in public.”

Raddatz asked the Louisiana Governor, “Do you know enough about that family to blame that father?

“We’ve got a moral decay going on in our culture,” Jindal replied. “We’ve got graphic violence in our movies, our video games, our TV shows. We’ve got senseless violence being depicted in our songs. We’ve got a culture that doesn’t value life.”

“We’ve got millions of boys growing up without father figures, without that guidance at home. Too often, these shooters are misguided young men. And so you’ve got Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and now this shooter’s father lecturing us on the need for gun control,” Jindal added.
