Trump Blasts ‘Weak, Ineffective’ Former Mizzou President, Chancellor for ‘Disgusting’ Protests

Thursday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump slammed now-former University of Missouri Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin and former President Tim Wolfe for their resignations earlier this week in the wake of protests over alleged racial strife within the university.

Trump told host Maria Bartiromo those two were weak and the students’ protests were “disgusting.”

“I think it’s disgusting,” Trump said. “I think the two people that resigned are weak, ineffective people. I think that when they resigned, they set something in motion that’s going to be a disaster for the next long period of time. How we hire people like this — Trump should have been the chancellor of that university. Believe me, there would have been no resignations.”

“Maria, did you look at their demands?” he added. “Their demands are, like, crazy. The demands their asking for, many of those things are like crazy. So, it is just disgraceful.”
