Protesters caused chaos outside of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tuesday night.

Protesters threw rocks at the police and the officers had to use smoke bombs to scatter the crowd, according to the New York Daily News.

They also burned Trump merchandise.

The Albuquerque police, who referenced the protest as a riot, reported the glass doors of the Convention Center where the rally was being held were damaged.

There were reports that shots were fired, but police couldn’t confirm and suggested it was possibly a pellet gun.

At least one person was taken into custody.
