Concerned Women for America CEO and President Penny Nance says presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump should let the audience “see his heart” during his appearance at the “Road to Majority” conference this Friday in Washington, D.C.

“I think the most important thing he needs to do is to let the audience see his heart. They don’t need talking points. They don’t need a prepared speech, which he really doesn’t like to give anyway,” Nance, who is going to emcee the conference, explained to Breitbart News. “He needs to let down the mask and let us just really see who he is as a man, let us have a good glimpse of what drives him, his character, what he values.”

Conservative activists are gathering this weekend at the “Road to Majority” conference, hosted by CWA and the Faith & Freedom Coalition, in Washington, D.C. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Republican leaders including Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will be speaking. The mission of the conference is to energize and train conservative activists on how to educate voters, register them, and mobilize support.

Trump is expected to speak at the conference on Friday.

“I think he’s got people in the audience” that support him, Nance said of Trump but added that the question is whether or not the billionaire can motivate these grassroots activists to get out and work for him.

“The vast majority of the people in the audience have no interest in voting for Hillary Clinton,” Nance explained. “I think he already has the votes of almost everyone, the question is whether or not they will work to get him elected.”

She said the people who attend the conference are the grassroots voters that go to door to door and work phone banks to volunteer for a candidate they support.

“He needs to motivate those folks to passionately embrace him and work to get him elected,” she stressed. “This is a venue for activists [and] it’s good and important that he’s coming.”

Other 2016 GOP presidential candidates will be speaking at the conference, including Carly Fiorina, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Rand Paul and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Faith & Freedom Coalition’s founder and chairman Ralph Reed spoke about Trump’s success through the primary election on Wednesday morning during an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

“It’s a teachable moment for everybody about the faith vote in America,” Reed stated when discussing the evangelical vote. “The first myth is that they vote based on identity politics.”

Nance is also co-sponsoring an event with Trump and close to 900 religious leaders on June 21st. The event is being held in New York City and Dr. Ben Carson will also attend.

“We wanted to bring together hundreds of the nation’s top evangelical and social conservative leaders so he could make his pitch for their support,” Nance explained. “There is still a question about whether or not evangelicals can unify behind his candidacy.”
