Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center joined Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Monday to discuss both President Trump’s decision not to attend the upcoming White House Correspondents’ Dinner (WHCD) and Sunday night’s Oscars.

Concerning the WHCD, Gainor said, “It’s already the most corrupt event of the year. I mean, it’s just disgusting.”

Gainor continued, “The three axis of power – L.A., New York, and Washington – combine to pat each other on the back and have journalists cozy up to them. Ordinarily, you’d have the president show up, and the press would roast him. But the press are roasting Donald Trump 24/7/365. So there’s going to be no difference. He’s just supposed to sit there and take it.”

“There’s no point to his showing up,” concluded Gainor. This is an event that has outlived its usefulness for years.”

As for the Oscars, said Gainor, “Comparing actors and actresses to migrant workers because they travel all around the world? They’re not migrant workers. They don’t hop trains and climb over walls.”

Added Gainor, “They fly in private jets and live in five-star hotels and get treated beyond a way any of us could ever comprehend. But we’re supposed to feel sorry for them? No!”

The two went on to discuss the many ways Hollywood insults the average American with its smugness and overt liberal politicking at the event.
