Peyton Manning: I Haven't Reached My Full Potential Yet

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning believes he still has not peaked as a quarterback.

“I’m not sure I’ve reached my full potential yet,” Manning said in an interview with ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

All the Broncos offense did in 2013 was break the record for most points and touchdowns in a single season. Manning wasn’t too shabby himself. He only broke the NFL touchdown record with 55 passing touchdowns and broke the record for most passing yards in a season (5,477) by a yard.

Manning, who recovered from nerve damage and a surgically-repaired neck, said he is mandated to take a physical in March and will not question doctors if they tell him that it is time to hang up his cleats.

“If for whatever reason the doctor were to say, ‘I’m not sure about this,’ I am not going to argue with him,” Manning said.

He added that he was still “learning some things here in my latter years about quarterback play” and still “trying to improve as a football player.”
