EA Sports has announced that it will delete former NFL player Kareem Hunt from their Madden 19 game, after the emergence of video showing him attacking a woman.

“We are in the process of removing Kareem Hunt from the Madden NFL 19 roster, Madden Overdrive, and Madden Ultimate Team,” a spokesperson for EA Sports told TMZ Sports on Tuesday.

“Any of our players who currently have Hunt on their Ultimate Team will receive a replacement generic player with identical stats,” the company said of plans to eliminate the Hunt character from its online game.

The Kansas City Chiefs running back was cut from the team after video surfaced showing his attack on a woman in a hotel.

In the video, the 2017 Pro Bowl player is seen arguing with a woman in the hallway outside of his hotel room. The incident occurred before the start of the 2018 season at 3:22 in the morning, on February 18, 2018.

The Chiefs cut Hunt on November 30th.
