Bangladeshi Man Pleads Guilty to Smuggling Countrymen into U.S.

A Bangladeshi national pleaded guilty in a Texas federal court Tuesday to smuggling numerous fellow countrymen into the United States. The smuggling network moved the Bangladeshi nationals, mostly men between the ages of 18-35, to South America where they made their way through Central America and Mexico.

120 Bangladeshi Migrants Apprehended at Texas Border Since Oct 1

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo Sector captured eight additional Bangladeshi nationals who illegally crossed the border from Mexico over the Thanksgiving weekend. The arrests bring the total for the new fiscal year, which began October 1, to more than 120.

Six Bangladeshis Apprehended in 12 Hours at Texas Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents continue to find illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who cross the border from Mexico. During a 12-hour period beginning on Saturday evening, six Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended in two separate incidents.
