North Korea Ready for ‘Dialogue’ but Not with ‘Diehard Toxin’ Pompeo

The North Korean government on Friday declared it is ready for either “dialogue or stand-off” with the United States on denuclearization, warned Washington not to impose any further sanctions against the regime, and demanded “diehard toxin” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo be taken out of the loop for any further negotiations.

Russian Foreign Minister to Visit North Korea Ahead of Trump-Kim Summit

North Korean media reported on Wednesday that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will “soon” visit Pyongyang for a meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho. The Russian Foreign Ministry subsequently announced that Lavrov would make the trip on Thursday, following up on an invitation Ri issued in early April.
