MSNBC's Fugelsang: 'Right-wing Christians' Would Nail Jesus to The Cross All over Again

Sometime actor and comedian and full time left-wing attack dog John Fugelsang has launched into Christians on MSNBC, this time claiming that “right-wing Christians” would nail Jesus to the cross all over again.

Ed Show guest host Michael Eric Dyson welcomed Fugelsang and Rev. Barry Lynn to his June 11 show to attack Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert and Christians. During the show Fugelsang went on another terror of a rant against Christians.

During the discussion about Congressman Gohmert, Dyson asked Fugelsang the WWJD (what would Jesus do) question: “Do you think that Jesus would be voting for Louie Gohmert?”

Fugelsang’s reply was filled with hatred and one non sequitur after another.

“Uh, no I actually, Reverend, I don’t think that. And I think Jesus would have a lot of problems with the two-party system as it now stands. However, Louie Gohmert’s agenda and the agenda of most of right-wing Christians are exactly what Jesus talks about in Matthew 25. I mean this was a guy who was a radical non-violent revolutionary, hung out with lepers, hookers and crooks, never spoke English, wasn’t an American citizen, anti-wealth, anti-public prayer–Matthew 6:5, you know what I’m talkin’ about Reverend Barry. Never anti-gay, never mentioned abortion, long-haired, brown-skinned, community organizing, homeless, middle eastern, unarmed Jew. That’s the guy we’re talkin’ about. Jesus couldn’t get a job at House of Pancakes in this society now and Louie Gohmert and his ilk would be the first ones lining up to nail Him all over again.

Attacking Christians while assuming he can read Jesus Christ’s mind is one of Fugelsang’s favorite pass times.

Just last year, for instance, Fugelsang claimed that Jesus would not be against abortion. In another instance, Fugelsang insisted that Jesus was a socialist. Another time the comedian called Jesus a “liberal.”

Fugelsang’s newest Ed Show rant, though, is a particularly practiced one. He has delivered essentially the same points several times.
