Feinstein: Run, Hillary, Run!
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) said today on CNN’s “State of the Union” that she’s rooting for a Hillary Clinton run for the presidency. “I am a fan,” Feinstein gushed. “I would love it if she would run.” According to Feinstein, Hillary has “unbridled popularity.”
Despite Clinton’s shocking performance before Congress over her role in the mishandling of the consulate security in Benghazi, Democrats continue to push for her to run in 2016. Clinton, for her part, has left the door open.
If she chooses not to run, some are suggesting that her replacement should be newly-elected Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. “[I]f Hillary choses [sic] not to run in 2016, which is certainly possible,” writes Brent Budowsky of The Hill, “liberals will begin a gigantic movement to draft Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) to run for president on a platform that will offer a reformist program of the magnitude that Franklin Roosevelt proposed and implemented.”
