Lisa De Pasquale

Lisa De Pasquale is a writer in Alexandria, VA. She is the author of Finding Mr. Righteous (Post Hill Press). Miss De Pasquale was previously the director of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where she oversaw all aspects of the conference from June 2006 to April 2011. In 2010, she was named a “Rising Star” by Campaigns & Elections magazine in their annual list of top political leaders under 35. She writes a weekly column for called the "De Pasquale's Dozen," which was inspired by Andrew Breitbart and asks political leaders and liberty-minded entertainers to talk about their pop culture obsessions. Antoinette Tuff is a Hero... and an Exception

If you haven't already heard the story of Antoinette Tuff talking an armed, mentally ill man at her school into surrendering, it's pretty amazing.  Last week Michael Hill walked into a private school of just under 900 children in Decatur, GA with a rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition.  Hill took Tuff, the school's bookkeeper, as his hostage.  She called 911 and negotiated between the gunman and the police.  She told him about her thoughts of suicide after her divorce, told him she wouldn't hate him, "anchoring yourself to the Lord," and convinced him to put down his rifle and give himself up to the police.  She was nothing short of amazing.  Aug 26, 2013 2:00 PM PT

Another Reply to Another Article About Women Making the Wrong Choices

Last week Jezebel ran an article titled, "Quitting Your Job to Be a Full-Time Mom is Probably a Bad Idea."  Even though I'm single and not a mother I've been writing responses to articles like this for over 14 years.  Time and time again feminists/women on the Left tell women that they have choices, but they get angry when women don't choose their idea of a fulfilling life.  Aug 11, 2013 10:44 AM PT
