Early Friday morning, Border Patrol agents arrested a man as he attempted to illegally force his way into the United States over the southern border near the Calexico Port of Entry. Upon a records search, it was discovered that he was convicted of sex offenses in Utah and is a citizen of Mexico.

Abelardo Pineda Rodriguez was charged with forcible sex abuse in Utah and convicted in 1998. He was sentenced in Salt Lake City to eight months in prison.

It is unknown whether the now 40-year-old Rodriguez has been convicted of sexual assault or other crimes outside of the U.S.

As of Friday, Rodriguez was being “processed for Re-Entry After Removal as a convicted sex offender,” according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection release.

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is currently pressing the Obama administration on the revelation that an illegal alien granted legal status under DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) in 2012 has now been charged with four felonies, including child molestation and distributing child pornography. Edgar Covarrubias-Padilla (pictured above) has been working as a camp counselor in California.

Breitbart reported earlier this week that Grassley is now demanding answers, as whistleblowers allege U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) knew about the child exploitation investigation as far back as November 2014.
