Pelosi Attacks Time Magazine for Sexism After Midterm Loss

Thursday at her press briefing, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) became very animated after being asked if she is considering stepping down as leader following her parties devastating losses in the midterm elections.

Pelosi quickly charged she was only being asked that because she is a woman saying, “It is interesting as a woman to see how many times that question is asked and how many times that question is never asked of Mitch McConnell.”

She continued, “I have a mission for women on this score. When we won the House, and it is largely an initiative that I started around 2000, to take us to a place that we would win the House, that was a big thing. I was never on Time magazine even though I was the first woman, isn’t out of curiosity, Repuclicans win Boehner on the cover of Time magazine If Mitch McConnell wins he’s on the front of Time magazine.”

She then wondered, “As a woman is there a message here. Is there something that we are missing?”
