In a conversation with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Saturday radio program, former Ambassador John Bolton called the lack of security on Hillary Clinton’s private email server the “800 pound gorilla” of the scandal that has surrounded the former Secretary of State in recent days.

Bolton broke from the South Carolina National Security Action Summit Saturday to join Marlow to discuss national security and the importance of the issue as the country moves toward the 2016 Presidential election.

America is on the verge of signing an agreement with Iran that Bolton told Marlow would “legitimize” Iran politically and their nuclear weapons program. Bolton said he sees Iran ready to pursue nuclear weapons “before the ink is dry” on the agreement.

Marlow tuned to talk of a war on women—the Iranian regime’s heavy oppression of women—and asked Bolton why this administration is willing to negotiate with such a regime.

There is an “element of hypocrisy that runs very deeply through their philosophy,” Bolton responded. He told Marlow that Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini “observes a very strict form of Sharia law.” Bolton said he thinks it will be very interesting to see if Hillary tries to distinguish herself from the Obama administration on issues such as this, bringing her support of women’s rights into question as she moves toward a 2016 run for the Presidency.

Bolton pointed out Hillary’s taking time out in the midst of her massive email controversy to attack GOP Senators over their recent letter to the Ayatolla of Iran.

When Marlow asked Bolton for his take on Hillary’s recent email scandal, Bolton emphasized that it wasn’t whether her emails were classified or not; rather it is the lack of security on her email server that is the “800 pound gorilla” of the offense. He said all communication from the Secretary of State is sensitive. “Everything the Secretary of State says is extremely valuable information,” said Bolton. He called the 30,000 deleted emails “valuable to me” as well.

Saturday Bolton was a featured speaker for the South Carolina National Security Action Summit that also included Senator Ted Cruz, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, and Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin.

Bolten has hinted that he may make a run for President in 2016.
