Christian Bale o George Clooney: ‘Shut up, Stop Whining’

In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, actor Christian Bale had a few words for George Clooney regarding his recent attempts to keep the paparazzi out of his personal life.

Clooney recently secured two protective orders to keep eager photographers from capturing him at his home in Italy, and he has been publicly critical of their pursuit of him.

When asked by the Wall Street Journal about Clooney’s issues with the paparazzi, Bale didn’t mince words:

It doesn’tmatter that he talks about it. It’s like, come on, guys, just shut up.Just get on with it and live your lives and stop whining about it. Iprefer not to whine about it.

Bale, who has had his temper tested before, most notably during the production of Terminator: Salvation in 2009, told WSJ‘s Andrew Goldman via US Weekly that actors have a choice about how they handle the paparazzi.

Bale recalled a time in Italy with his wife:

I would go to work; she would leave the hotel. There would be a man who stood outside and say the most obscene things imaginable to my wife.

I know what he’s after; he has a strategy there, am I able to say I’m not gonna give him that satisfaction of angry Christian Bale coming after this man?

But equally, he’s killing my humanity and my dignity as a husband if I do not, and he knows this. So you’ve got a choice.

Bale, who most recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s Batman reboot, has several well-documented instances of losing his cool.

The actor is set to appear as Moses in the upcoming biblical epic Exodus: Gods and Kings.
