Sean Penn Under Investigation in Mexico Over Mass Murderer ‘El Chapo’ Stunt

Actor Sean Penn is under investigation by Mexican authorities after secretly meeting with mass murderer and Sinaloa Federation head Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera. The Mexican Attorney General announced that figures associated with making an “El Chapo” movie were under investigation on the night his arrest arrest was announced, however, the identity of those figures was unknown to the public until Rolling Stone published an article by Penn acknowledging that he had secretly met with the fugitive. ABC then claimed a source in the Mexican government confirmed to them that Penn and Kate Del Castillos were under the investigation.

Rolling Stone and Penn acknowledged that they gave full editorial control over to the drug lord fugitive and that Penn made no effort to help authorities find ‘El Chapo’–even though he has played a major role in a violent drug war that has claimed up to 125,000 lives.
