Per a 13 News Now report, a Houston, TX mother is under investigation after the video of her kicking her seven-year-old son out of the house for voting for Donald Trump in a mock election at his school went viral.
The video blew up on Facebook Friday, receiving over 10 million views in one day.
“Since you voted for Trump, you can get your sh*t and get out. Uh uh, the suitcase is packed by the door,” she told her son as he cried and begged to stay.
Later in the video, the mom asks the child why he voted for Trump, which he reasoned because he sees the now President-Elect a lot on TV.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office and Child Protective Services are currently investigating, but a detective says the mom told them it was only a joke.
The detective also told 13 News Now there is no evidence of any criminal wrongdoing, even though the video is disturbing.
The mom apologized for the video, and the boy is reportedly in good shape.
