On Saturday’s “MSNBC Live,” former Clinton campaign Director of Progressive Media Zerlina Maxwell argued that “when you eliminate race and gender in your analysis about why Hillary Clinton wasn’t able to resonate, I think that you’re missing critical points.”

Maxwell reacted to Vice President Joe Biden’s comments that Clinton never figured out why she was running by saying Biden is “a really critical voice for Democrats, and I think that he’s right in part about why the campaign’s message failed to resonate with certain groups of voters. I think that there’s a shortage, in terms of the analysis about why the campaign didn’t resonate, a lot of people are pointing to failure to talk to middle class voters, failure to talk to those working class voters, but I think that when you eliminate race and gender in your analysis about why Hillary Clinton wasn’t able to resonate, I think that you’re missing critical points.”
