FS1’s Whitlock ‘Completely Shocked’ Jerry Jones Took a Knee: Not a ‘Wise Move’

Fox Sports 1’s Jason Whitlock said he was “completely shocked” when he saw Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones kneel alongside the players before the national anthem played on Monday Night Football.

The team and Jones then all stood for the anthem.

“I’m shocked,” Whitlock said Tuesday on “Undisputed.” “I didn’t think Jerry Jones would bend the knee.”

Whitlock argued that Jones’ attempt to please everyone was not a “wise choice” because the fans inside the stadium booed when the team knelt.

He added, “I don’t think it’s a wise move. I don’t think he placated or satisfied anybody. I think the boos spoke very loudly inside that stadium about what the customer base thinks about the bending of the knee even though it was before the national anthem. I was completely shocked Jerry Jones did this. I don’t think it was the wise choice. They’re trying to satisfy everybody. You can’t satisfy everybody.”
