In an appearance on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” former Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) discussed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) behavior and comments that ultimately resulted in Amazon pulling out of a deal that would have put their second headquarters in New York City.
Lieberman previously criticized Ocasio-Cortez’s policies, which led to the socialist representative mocking the longtime senator.
Wednesday, Lieberman offered the congresswoman some advice.
“Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez is new at this. She’s fairly young. I say that respectfully. I’m glad she’s willing to take a second look at Amazon coming to New York,” Lieberman stated.
He added, “Part of the lesson here I hope she learns: You can’t respond to every problem or anything that happens in public life ideologically.”
