Jim Carrey’s Girlfriend, 28, Found Dead of Apparent Suicide

Cathriona White, the much-younger girlfriend of comedian Jim Carrey, has committed suicide, according to TMZ.

White, 28, was found dead Monday night after police responded to a call at a Los Angeles-area home.

A person close to the investigation told TMZ White left a suicide note that mentioned that she and 53-year-old Carrey broke up on Thursday Sept. 24.

White took to her Twitter page that same day to say she would be signing off:

TMZ reports that White’s body was first discovered by friends who had come by to check on her, and police believe she died of a drug overdose, as they found pills in close proximity to her body.

White and Carrey first dated in 2012, but broke up after several months. They began seeing each other again in May.
