Carole King to Serenade Biden, Pelosi at Beverly Hiils Fundraiser for Dem Women

Grammy-winning singer Carole King will serenade Vice President Joe Biden, House Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi, and high-donor Democrats over cocktails next Monday at an L.A. fundraiser benefitting Democrat women running for Congress entitled, “When Women Succeed, America Succeeds.”

The Washington Post obtained a copy of an invitation that lists the event details. An additional detail not listed on the invite, but disclosed in the Post, is the attendance cost, which reportedly tops out at $32,400 per couple.

Event host James Gianopolus, a Fox Films executive, has contributed over $330,000 to political committees since 2004, according to CampaignMoney.com.

California Senator Barbara Boxer raised several hundred thousand dollars at a 2010 campaign luncheon featuring Biden and King, the Los Angeles Times reported.

King also performed as the “feature talent” for a January 2009 event honoring Vice-President elect Joe Biden touted as a “true Bi-Partisan event,” with words from Governor Tim Kaine, Senator Chuck Hagel, Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama, according to King’s website.
