Man Beaten Up at Pizza Joint for Calling Customer’s Mom Fat

A man was beaten inside a Little Caesar’s pizza restaurant in Salinas, CA on Sunday after making a joke about a fellow customer’s mother’s weight.

Police told the San Francisco Chronicle that the confrontation began late Sunday afternoon, after a 50-year-old man told another patron at the restaurant that “She should not eat pizza because she was already overweight.”

According to the Chronicle, the insult was enough to send the woman out to her car to retrieve a crowbar. However, by the time she had returned, her son had already begun punching the man multiple times in the head.

The unidentified man was reportedly transported to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The mother and son reportedly fled the scene and have not yet been identified or arrested.
