On the heels of U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) asking the EU to designate Hezbollah a terrorist organization, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has “emerged from hiding” to announce the group’s plans to launch a massive attack against Israel.
Nasrallah said: “We are capable of changing the face of Israel” and causing “tens of thousands of fatalities.” And he indicated there are a “number of targets” in Israel which Hezbollah can strike to do this.
According to reports, such an attack would consist of numerous missiles launched at the Jewish state. And those same reports posit Hezbollah’s ties to Iran as the reason. The theory is that Hezbollah may in fact be readying a counter-strike against Israel which they will launch if the Israelis carry out their promised attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
