Peter Schweizer: Conservatives, Libertarians, Millennials Uniting Against Crony Capitalism

On Breitbart News Saturday, one of the country’s leading authorities on good government and crony capitalism said that conservatives, liberals, libertarians, and millennials are uniting against the bipartisan crony capitalism that has grown government and encroached upon the liberties of all Americans.

Peter Schweizer, the Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large and Government Accountability Institute President, said Ronald Reagan was critical of crony capitalism and those in his mold are aghast by how “corporations have corrupted the political process.” Schweizer mentioned that there is a difference between being “pro-corporation and pro-free markets.”

Speaking to co-hosts Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, Schweizer, calling in before his speech at the Florida Liberty Summit, said that libertarians are also troubled by rampant cronyism because they see the “size and scope of government getting bigger.”

He said this is also an area where Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Rand Paul (R-KY)can find agreement, which he said was a good thing. Schweizer also mentioned that millennials want to put the “power of the individual over the power of the collective” and are uncomfortable with “large corporations functioning like big government.”

Schweizer, the author of best-selling books like Throw Them All Out and Extortion, said millennials who have grown up and whose views have been shaped by the financial crisis are turning against the “Boomtown” business model that has been right next to the financial crisis.

Breitbart News Saturday can be heard weekly from 10AM to 1PM on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125.
