Fox News co-moderator Megyn Kelly asked former Florida governor Jeb Bush a question about “your brother’s war” at the Republican presidential debate in Cleveland on Thursday evening.

The question came after Bush had already fielded one question, from co-moderator Bret Baier, about George W. Bush, and whether he was his “own man.”

Kelly was particularly acerbic in her questions on Thursday, hitting frontrunner Donald Trump with a question about his past statements about women.

Still, describing the Iraq War as “your brother’s war” was odd.

It was–in the view of this conservative observer, anyway–unfair to Bush, who had already answered one question about his brother, and it was insensitive to those who proudly served and believed in the cause.

Later, co-moderator Chris Wallace also asked Bush a question in which he referred to “your father and your brother.”
