Planned Parenthood President: Trump DACA Decision ‘Rooted in Racism and White Supremacist Ideology’

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards says the Trump administration’s decision to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is “cruel” and “rooted in racism and white supremacist ideology.”

Richards said in a statement:

President Trump’s decision to rescind DACA will rip millions of families apart and do irreparable harm to communities that already face discrimination and barriers to accessing health care in this country. We will not silently stand by as DREAMers and DACA recipients, many of whom are part of the Planned Parenthood community and rely on Planned Parenthood for health care, are stripped of their rights and protections. We at Planned Parenthood will continue to see patients regardless of who they are or where they’re from – no matter what.

Planned Parenthood, however, was founded by eugenicist Margaret Sanger, and her organization is rooted in racism and elitism.

According to the 2010 census, 79 percent of Planned Parenthood’s surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of black or Hispanic neighborhoods.

About 59 million abortions have been performed in the country since the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision in 1973, nearly 18 million of them on black babies. As Breitbart News has reported, the Alan Guttmacher Institute also provided data showing that about 30 percent of all abortions in the U.S. are performed on black women, with another 25 percent performed on Hispanic women.

Richards and her organization consider abortion to be “health care,” and Planned Parenthood’s profits are made on this primary “service” it provides. A recent paper by the Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) noted the taxpayer-funded abortion chain “performed more than one third (35.4%) of all the induced abortions in the U.S.” in 2015.

“The level of market dominance for abortions demonstrated by Planned Parenthood could be taught in business schools as the ultimate example of strategic planning and execution,” wrote CLI authors Chuck Donovan and Dr. James Studnicki assert. “It is a defining activity.”

While Richards and her organization claim to be a primary source of “health care” for “DREAMers,” the CLI authors observe that Planned Parenthood provides less than 1.4 percent of the nation’s HIV tests and less than one percent of pap tests, and that in the last five years service-to-client ratios for breast exams and pap tests have declined by 37 percent.

“There is little or no demonstrable capability for definitive diagnosis or a range of treatments for any disease or condition at Planned Parenthood centers,” write Donovan and Studnicki. “With the exception of abortion, Planned Parenthood does not provide any service that is not easily available from alternative providers.”

Planned Parenthood’s own 2015-2016 annual report indicates that while the number of abortions performed and its profits had increased, many of its non-abortion services had declined significantly.

“Planned Parenthood promotes itself as an indispensable health care provider and community asset, while downplaying its role as the nation’s largest abortion vendor,” Studnicki wrote. “This fiction is essential to justifying the half billion dollars in annual taxpayer funding they receive, but their own data paint an entirely different picture.”

As Twitchy observes, abortion industry political advocacy organization NARAL openly commented on Twitter that “DREAMers” should always be eligible to have abortions in the United States:
