Donald Trump Jr. responded to the release of a transcript of his interview with the Senate Judiciary Committee about the ongoing Russia investigation in a statement on Tuesday.

“I appreciate the opportunity to have assisted the Judiciary Committee in its inquiry,” he wrote in a statement sent to Breitbart News. “The public can now see that for over five hours I answered every question asked and was candid and forthright with the Committee.”

The transcript is 224 pages long and includes questions from Senate investigators about conversations he had with the White House about the investigation.

“I once again thank Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Feinstein, as well as other members of the Committee and their staff for their courtesy and professionalism,” Trump Jr. concluded in his statement.

The interview took place on September 7, 2017.

“I did not collude with any foreign government and do not know of anyone who did,” he said during the interview.

Trump Jr. said he did not know whether his father President Donald Trump assisted with drafting his statement about the meeting in Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer and could not remember whether he ever discussed the Russia investigation with his father.
