Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) suggests a gun confiscation law is the solution for mass shootings in the U.S.

Feinstein set up her push for a confiscatory law by tweeting, “One common thread that runs through mass shootings in this country is that family and friends are often the first to be aware that perpetrators pose threats to themselves or others. But too often, families and police have no power to act”:

She then used a second tweet to push for federal support of Red Flag Laws, which she described as “extreme risk protection orders.” She said, “Already, 14 states and D.C. have laws allowing extreme risk protection orders. The federal government should support other states that want to follow their lead”:

On March 9, 2019, Breitbart News reported Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) contention that confiscatory Red Flag Laws represent an area of gun control where Republicans and Democrats can “come together.” He told CNN he wanted to “incentivize” more states to adopt such laws.
