The Daily Mail reported the incident occurred in Butanta, which is part of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Video shows the unnamed female military police officer walking across the street when 40-year-old Francisco Gonsalves dos Santos Junior exited a car, impeded the officer’s path, and allegedly “tried to grab her.”

When the officer noticed Santos Junior allegedly cutting off her path she took a few steps back–buying time to retrieve her handgun–and then shot Santos Junior. He crumbled to the ground and was declared dead at the scene.
