A concealed carry permit holder in Charlotte, North Carolina, shot and killed a robbery suspect at a 7-Eleven early Thursday morning.

FOX46 reports that the incident at 7-Eleven occurred around 4 a.m.

WBTV reports that two juvenile robbery suspects “held [a] customer at gunpoint and aggressively robbed him.”

The suspects then allegedly turned to rob the clerk, and somewhere during the process, the customer, fearing for his life, pulled a gun and opened fire. He struck both robbery suspects, killing one.

The deceased suspect was identified as 16-year-old Qwanterrius Stafford. The other suspect, 17-year-old Brenna Harris, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police found two guns at the scene of the shooting. One belonged to the customer with the carry permit and the other was allegedly in the possession of Stafford during the robbery attempt.
