Ex-Giants Lineman Turns Self in After Allegedly Beating Wife with Her Pocketbook on Anniversary

Former New York Giants offensive lineman Luke Petitgout, 37, allegedly beat his wife with her pocketbook while they were celebrating their anniversary last Friday. Petitgout turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday.

According to the New York Post, Jennifer Petitgout, 36, his wife, was accused of cheating at around 5:30 a.m., and then Petitgout beat “her with her pocketbook and shoved her out of the car” on Friday, according to law enforcement sources. He reportedly threw her purse at her head as well.

Jennifer Petitgout “was taken to New York Downtown Hospital for minor injuries.”

Petitgout was drafted out of Notre Dame by the Giants in 1999. He played for New York until 2007, and then played another season in the league before injuries forced him to retire.
