The Texas Tribune distanced itself from Texas Democratic Party legal operative Buck Wood’s assertions that Battleground Texas had done nothing criminally wrong as reported last week. Under the explanation that the article in question has been “updated throughout,” any mention of Wood’s assertions has been removed.
The particular Tribune article of interest drew direct critiques from Breitbart News’ Ken Klukowski–offering pointed counter arguments and asserting the clear illegality of the matters exposed. The living article now primarily features quotes from various Texas and local officials describing the legal offenses to be investigated.
The Tribune has not offered any updates from Battleground Texas regarding their legal defense, however. The article continues to quote the organization’s immediate character attacks on James O’Keefe–which he addressed in an interview with Breitbart Texas last week.
Breitbart Texas reported earlier today that the Wendy Davis field support group had promised a more detailed explanation to the public that their activities were fully within Texas Election Code. As of publish time, no updates have been offered.
