On August 1, a Florida homeowner “shot multiple times” at a burglary suspect while his wife and three sleeping children were inside the home.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect fled when the homeowner began shooting.
According to Orlando’s WESH.com, the Sheriff’s office believes the suspect “may have been hit” by one of the bullets. They also believe the suspect had an accomplice who was waiting for him in a silver getaway car.
The suspect entered the home through a garage door which had been left open.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office says the homeowner was within his rights to do what he did and he will not face charges because he was “in his home…defending his family.”
