Charlize Theron Hits Hill for AIDS Funding, Rep. Pelosi Admires Her Beauty

Actress Charlize Theron visited D.C. this week to push the U.S. government to “push forward” to a solution on AIDS.

The South African stunner said the fact that one in 10 people in her country live with HIV is “unacceptable,” particularly because the disease is preventable.

“The tipping point is upon us,” she said. “…We can and we must and we will overcome this epidemic.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi applauded not just Theron’s passion but her genetic hand during the congressional breakfast meeting where Theron spoke.

“For you to bring your celebrity, your beauty to this really important issue just expands the opportunity for people to be aware,” Pelosi told the actress.
