What 'Crimes' Has the U.S. Committed? Power Won't Explain
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee conducted a job-interview of sorts yesterday. But no private sector employer would allow a prospective employee to get away with the sort of performance Samantha Power turned in--let alone hire her for a job remotely as significant as America’s next representative to the United Nations.
Senator Marco Rubio performed what passed for the only serious grilling of this long-time, anti-American leftist. He asked repeatedly what Power meant when she denounced “crimes committed, sponsored, or permitted by the United States”?
The applicant refused to answer three times, blithely asserting instead that she “loves this country."
If Senators allow Samantha Power to get away with such transparent dissembling, they will share responsibility for the poor job performance she is certain to turn in for the American people.
