IRS Audited 90 Percent of Returns Claiming Adoption Tax Credit

According to Taxpayer Advocate Services, the Internal Revenue Service has not just targeted conservative non-profits – it’s targeted adoptive parents. A full 90 percent of returns claiming an adoption tax credit were audited in 2012; 69 percent of adoption credit claims were audited. Despite all of those audits, more than 55 percent were either given a tax refund or no charge. 22 May 2013

In Orlando on Wednesday, an FBI agent shot and killed Ibragim Todashev, a man who had been interviewed with regard to the Boston Marathon bombing. “We are currently responding to a shooting incident involving an FBI special agent,” explained FBI Special Agent Dave Couvertier to NBC News. 22 May 2013
