FBN’s Gasparino: Rubio ‘Money Men’ Say Rubio ‘Will Likely Suspend’ Before Florida

Wednesday on FBN’s “Varney & Company,” network senior correspondent said following last night’s lackluster showing in the Michigan, Mississippi, Idaho and Hawaii GOP presidential nominating contests, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) may drop his bid prior to next Tuesday’s Florida Republican primary.

“What I’m hearing from [Rubio’s] money men here in New York City, what they’re saying — and listen, this could change, it’s early — what are, Wednesday?” he said. “How many days do we have until the Republican primary? Barring some better polling and we’re not talking about the Quinnipiac plus or minus 10 on the scale polling, his internal polling — he will likely suspend before Florida. That’s what his money-men here in New York City are telling me.”

Gasparino added their is a feeling of despair within the campaign, but said the campaign still has some anti-Trump ads it could run if things are looking to improve.

Rubio campaign spokesman denied on Twitter later that Gasparino’s report was true.
