Football Coach Suspended for Continuing Postgame Prayer: My Constitutional Rights Were Violated

The football coach of Bremerton High School in Washington State, Joe Kennedy, who was recently suspended for leading prayers after games and, despite being asked to stop, continued to lead them, spoke out on Saturday’s “America’s News HQ” on Fox News Channel.

Kennedy, who said he does not force his prayers upon athletes, said that his rights of freedom of religion were violated, causing problems within the community.

“As far as all the legal stuff, I don’t understand really any of it when they talk about ‘it could potentially cause problems,’ by taking away my rights has definitely caused problems.”
