Gingrich Hits Obama for Reaction to Dallas Shooting – Like ‘Any Good Liberal College Professor’

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich reacted to the shootings in Dallas on Thursday that have so far resulted in the deaths of at least five policemen.

Gingrich criticized President Barack Obama for not bringing the nation together during his presidency and likened his reaction to that of a “liberal college professor.”

“I mean, we’re in the eighth year of a president who could have brought us together,” he said. “A president who could have worked in the African-Americans community to make people feel better about themselves. A president who could have offered visionary changes in the policies that have failed for the last 50 years. They don’t the all of that. He has a handful of things that any good liberal college professor might have had. Gun control is the obvious. Look, first of all, our hearts have to go out to families — the families of the police officers in Dallas, the families in Baton Rouge, the families in Minneapolis. This has been a terrible couple of days for America and it should be a wake-up call that there’s some things that are profoundly wrong in this country right now. And they deserve an honest, open conversation or it’s going to get worse.”
