Thursday, on “Deadline: White House” on MSNBC, former Independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin said House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) “failed” in the test of his leadership in handling President Trump and the sexual misconduct allegations against the president.
McMullin said, “I think more importantly here, what we’re seeing is a true test of leadership for people like Paul Ryan. … He has failed this test of his leadership, and, in fact, that’s why we’re seeing him, I believe, step down now. He’s already announced that after 2018 he’s going to retire from Congress. This — Paul Ryan has failed the test of his leadership. I don’t know what’s to become of him in the future. I do think something new will come of this politically in America.”
