L.A. Police Warn of Serial Slasher on the Loose

The Los Angeles Police Department is warning residents that a serial slasher in on the loose in the area after slashing occurred in Lynwood, South Gate and South Los Angeles.

The victims were all slashed in the face by a man riding a dark-colored bicycle, according to the public warning, Fox 11 reported.

The last attacks occurred on April 1 near Florence Avenue and Avalon Boulevard in South L.A. Police were called for a man whose face had been slashed in a sneak attack as the victim stood at a bus stop.

Only minutes later, a second attack was reported nearby where a woman had been attacked by the unknown bike rider.

“The suspect is described as a Hispanic man 18-30 years old with short hair, about 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and dark pants. He was last seen riding a black and green mountain bike westbound on Slauson Avenue from Main Street,” Fox 11 reported.

The L.A. P.D. has asked anyone with information to call the Los Angeles Police Department at 877-275-5273.
