The first international teaser trailer for the upcoming lesbian drama Carol was released online this week.
Carol follows the budding romance between department store clerk Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) and the older, married Carol Aird (Cate Blanchett) in 1950s New York.
The film won the Queer Palm award at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in France, and was also nominated for the top Palm d’Or prize.
Kyle Chandler, Sarah Paulson and Carrie Brownstein also star. The film was directed by Todd Haynes (I’m Not There, Mildred Pierce) off a script from newcomer Phyllis Nagy.
Carol hits theaters November 27. Check out the first teaser for the film above.
