It’s been a little over a week since the Obama-Israel rapprochement, but those hoping it would last will be sorely disappointed. When it comes to Israel, it’s back to business as usual for BHO. Defense Secretary Panetta just landed there and when they unloaded his baggage the Israelis found the same old bag of tricks: coercion,warnings, and “daylight“ between the Jewish state and Obama’s side.
It’s doubtful whether Obama’s swift reversion to type is enough to give the Reform rabbis and Ed Kochs of the world another mood swing. But more important, I’d like to think Israelis are tired of being whipsawed by this condescending president and have finally woken up.
