On February 5, a teacher at Maryland’s Tuscarora High School was assaulted and “taken to a local hospital for treatment.” Exactly one week prior, on January 29, a teacher at Maryland’s Forestville High School was beaten then “treated in [a] hospital for minor injuries.”

According to CBS DC, the alleged February 5 assault was carried out by a 16-year-old student who was “quickly” detained by the school resource officer. FOX Television reports “the teacher was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital with minor injuries,” and “the student was taken into custody.”

Regarding the January 29 assault, Mail Online reports the Forestville High teacher was not identified, but he was “bloodied” in the alleged attack.

A school district spokeswoman said the January attack occurred because of “a misinterpretation of a comment in [the] classroom.” The student allegedly took the comment as “racially-insensitive.”
