During a briefing this afternoon, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest admitted that the Clinton family has made mistakes on reporting foreign donations to its Foundation.

“It’s apparent to me that the Clinton Foundation is going back to remedy the mistakes that they acknowledge they have made in the past,” Earnest explained after acknowledging that he had read public reports about it.

A Reuters report revealed that the Clinton Foundation had made mistakes reporting some of the foreign donors listed on their tax returns and was “acting quickly” to fix the problem.

When asked by ABC News White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl if the action was enough for the president, Earnest demurred.

“We’ll have to see what steps the Clinton Foundation intends to take, but based on what they have said publicly it sounds like that they are serious about correcting those mistakes,” he said.
