OXON HILL, MD — During President Trump’s 48-minute speech at CPAC 2017 –where he accused the national media of “fake news”– TBS’s “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” tried to stage one such “fake news” incident, according to a new media writer.

Longtime blogger Pete Ingemi at ran to another blogger,’s Cynthia Yockey, claiming TBS had tried to use him to create “fake news” to show CPAC attendees “were bored with Trump’s speech.”

Ingemi said “a young man” with Media credentials from TBS walked up to him, kneeled down and asked, “Sir, do you have Solitaire on your computer?”

Ingemi thought it was an odd question. He told the man with TBS Media credentials that his wife had recently given him a new computer at Christmas and thought it did.

The man from TBS asked, “Would you bring up solitaire? We want to get a shot of someone playing Solitaire during Trump’s speech.”

Ingemi said doing so would be dishonest, and refused.

The man left, and Ingemi was unable to get his name. However, Ingemi believes the man wanted to create a “fake news” narrative that CPAC attendees were bored during President Trump’s 48-minute speech.

Ingemi concluded that since TBS doesn’t have a news program, it could have been TBS’s show “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.”

The American Conservative Union (ACU), which hosts CPAC, confirmed that TBS and the Samantha Bee show were indeed registered for Media credentials at CPAC 2017.

In his speech, President Trump warned the audience: “I want you all to know we are fighting the fake news. It’s fake. Phony. Fake. A few days ago I called the fake news the enemy of the people, and they are. They are the enemy of the people. Because they have no sources, they just make them up when there are none. … I’m against the people that make up stories and make up sources.”

Political Commentator and Adjunct Professor, Kathy Barnette, was recording President Trump’s speech on Facebook LIVE when the kerfuffle occurred right behind her. She caught Ingemi’s response afterward, about 33 minutes into the recording. You can also see Ingemi at the top of the video sitting behind Barnette — in the section reserved for credentialed Media– before the President’s speech began.

Both Barnette and Ingemi are part of the new Media that President Trump champions. They tap into grassroots constituencies across the country which eventually carried President Trump to victory.

“Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” airs Wednesdays, 10:30PM EST/9:30PM CST.
