Man Shot Dead After Allegedly Threatening Ex-Girlfriend

A man allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend via text then broke into her home, only to be shot dead.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the man allegedly sent “several threatening texts to his ex-girlfriend” throughout the day. The man then allegedly broke into the ex-girlfriend’s home in Clayton County, Georgia, and found her hiding in the bedroom.

Clayton News-Daily reports that the alleged home invasion occurred shortly  after 6 pm, and that gun fire was exchanged when the man found the woman. “Officers found the man lying face-down and he was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Police indicate the man had been shot in the chest.
