Victory Over Florida gets Kentucky Back into Tournament Discussion

Earlier this week, Kentucky coach John Calipari had some harsh words for his team and his own performance this season. The Wildcats responded Saturday with a 61-57 upset victory of SEC best Florida. The game also leaves questions about Florida, who has looked like a national champion in almost every home game, but is now only 8-6 away from home – where all tournament games are played.

While the Wildcats are still probably on the outside looking in on the NCAA Tournament, the defeat of #11 Florida has vaulted Kentucky back into the discussion and they could find themselves a spot if they are able to do well in next week’s SEC Tournament.

Archie Goodwin led the way for the defending champions with 16 points in what was the Wildcats’ second win over a top 25 team.
